Partial set of Samson hand painted Chinese Export style porcelain for the American Market. In beautiful orange trim with hand printed gilt motif. American eagle in centre with Shield. 20th century, in tones of rust and brown with gold accents having a guilloche border, the eagle with a rising sun holding a shield on a field with scattered floral sprigs, Similar to late 18th century Chinese export porcelain made during the Federal period and marketed to the United States. John Adams Service is an example. This Samson copy made in the late 19th century is remarkably detailed, hand painted, true to thickness and integrity of the earlier Chinese pieces. I have only seen a few pieces of this service on the market. This is a wonderful, useable service.
