Period Carved neoclassical Alabaster and Vermeil, gold on solid silver lantern. But the famous Russian/Polish Silversmith, Ludwik Bernard Nast ( Warsaw c 1821-1838). Excellent gold over silver original. Festooned Swags and Ram’s Head Mounts. Original Vermeil chain and canopy as well. Stamped “Nast” in multiple places. Exquisite and a true treasure piece. Ludwik Bernard Nast is well represented in The National Museum of Warsaw and is considered one of Poland’s most masterful silversmiths.
