18th Century Dutch Figured Walnut Linen Press with Desk Interior. Masterfully constructed piece which dates from the Neoclassical Period though retains Baroque Origins. Original brasses. Middle Drawer of base reveals a rare desk writing surface and pigeonholes. Upper doors open to linen drawers. The crown has plateaus which traditionally held a Delft garniture set. Quite a commanding piece. Fine English George I or Queen Anne Black Lacquered Chinoiserie Chest on Stand. Original Chinoise Design with figures, exotic birds, temples and architecture. Great patina and retention of its primary faux tortoise shell paint. Multiple drawers including original ogre drawer hidden in top frieze. Period appropriate hand-made pulls and escutcheons. A Massachusetts Chippendale period 18th century cherry chest-on-chest. In two parts, the swan's neck pediment with brass floral rosettes centering brass spherical and flame finial above plain tympanum over a center drawer with carved radial reeding flanked by two stacked drawers over four graduated drawers the whole flanked by reeded pilasters; conforming base fitted with four graduated drawers supported by short cabriole legs terminating in ball and claw feet.Details
