    Fine English George I or Queen Anne Black Lacquered Chinoiserie Chest on Stand. Original Chinoise Design with figures, exotic birds, temples and architecture. Great patina and retention of its primary faux tortoise shell paint. Multiple drawers including original ogre drawer hidden in top frieze. Period appropriate hand-made pulls and escutcheons. Original Chinoise design on sides as well.

As seen, shrinkage cracks, lacquer shows some inpainting and loss. Original drawer bottoms and drawers work fine. Many drawers with working keys. Stable, beautiful as shown, great patina.
